CALeVIP — Fast Charge California
FCCP-2 supports eligible public-access DC fast-charger projects in California. Funding depends on program eligibility, approved costs and available funds.
Incentive Amounts
| Guaranteed output | Incentive cap |
|---|---|
| 150–274.99 kW | $55,000 |
| 275 kW or more | $100,000 |
Approved costs may be covered up to 100%, within these caps.
Before You Apply
- Your site must qualify under the program’s site-type rules and provide public access.
- At least four ports must supply 150 kW simultaneously: 600 kW minimum site output.
- At least half the connectors must be CCS.
- Applications need issued permits and final utility service design, or the utility’s confirmation that no service upgrade is needed.
- The applicant must own the charging equipment and receive the incentive.
Electrical Work for Your Project
Steve Carter Electric installs commercial DC fast chargers directly. We can discuss electrical capacity, distribution equipment, charger circuits and the panel or service work your Orange County site may require.
Bring your site address, planned charger equipment and any existing permit or utility documents. We will review the electrical scope and coordinate the work around your property’s access and operating needs.
Important Program Requirements
This program is for qualifying public DC charging, rather than home Level 2 chargers. Equipment, EVITP crew certification, prevailing wages, reporting and incentive-combination requirements also apply. Program administrators determine eligibility and funding.
